Column Casings are an architectural feature that encloses primary steel work or unsightly industrial finishes such as concrete.
In addition to offering the designer opportunities to
enhance the appearance of a building, column casings
have the added advantage of covering exposed
services, incorporating lighting and air handling.
Column Casings are usually circular, but square and
rectangular are additional options.
There are a number of jointing options available ranging
from shadow gaps to flush finish joints.
The most common material used is aluminium, which is
robust, and can be powder coated to create stunning
architectural focal points.
Stainless steel in a brushed fi nish is an alternative, which
is suitable for both internal and external applications.
